  • Shameless pitch to read my articles

Please go to examiner.com and choose the Kansas City site (if you live somewhere other than Kansas City) and then go to the Family and Home tab, then choose Family and Parenting and you should find me on there somewhere.  You can also search the site using my name or "parenting multiples" and should find my articles there.  They are all articles about parenting multiples.  Please let me know what you think of them - I would appreciate any and all feedback.  Thank you very much!

  • A momentous week

Well, this was quite a week!

First, Josh came back from a month in Fort Worth, TX and we are SO GLAD that he is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly, Josh's sister Alina left Friday for a new job at a school in Kabul, Afghanistan - yep.  She made it safely and is settling in.

Thirdly, my little boy's curls had gotten really long and in his face so......Josh cut his hair yesterday!  Gulp - he looks like a little boy, no more baby there at all....

Fourthly, both kids had their first lollipop while getting haircuts - although little girl didn't get her hair cut, we put her in the high chair anyway and gave her a lollipop too.

I am four and half months pregnant now and feeling better so that's good too.  Whew.  Lots going on.

  • The 29th of June

is Josh's USMLE Step II exam - actually, it's one of two parts of the exam, the other part he will take on the 13th of July, but that part will not be as hard as this part - sooooooo, PLEASE pray for him on the 29th.  Thank you!

  • Party time...

Every night for the past four or five months, when we put our children to bed at 8:30 in their room, we are treated to a rousing rendition of the day from Casey.  At least, that is what I think he's talking about.  I guess it could be anything.  He could be discussing politics or sports or theater.  He just chirps and babbles so happily.  I guess he's telling Jesus all about his day and just having a grand time.  Madelyn (I think) immediately goes to sleep in spite of all the noise emanating from his crib - or, she lies there silently wishing he would SHUT UP and go to sleep.

Tomorrow my husband and I are going on a 24-hour getaway!  YAY

Prayers are also in order:  he takes the USMLE Step II on June 29th.
