was uneventful because Casey threw a fit (either from a tummy ache or exhaustion, not sure) and Grandma and Grandpa took him and his sister home while mom and Aunt Alina watched fireworks.  The end.

Every night for the past four or five months, when we put our children to bed at 8:30 in their room, we are treated to a rousing rendition of the day from Casey.  At least, that is what I think he's talking about.  I guess it could be anything.  He could be discussing politics or sports or theater.  He just chirps and babbles so happily.  I guess he's telling Jesus all about his day and just having a grand time.  Madelyn (I think) immediately goes to sleep in spite of all the noise emanating from his crib - or, she lies there silently wishing he would SHUT UP and go to sleep.

Tomorrow my husband and I are going on a 24-hour getaway!  YAY
